Due to a lack of stage-wise career advice based on one’s own capabilities and interests, in India, most children tend to choose the courses that will allow them to get into the most popular professional systems like B.Tech and MBBS. But because not everyone’s interests suit those courses, they either end up not securing a seat or struggling to complete them. So, early intervention in career counselling at the high school stage is necessary to help children know their capabilities and choose their careers rightly.
